This cheerful chap is Maurice Morris and he is considered something of a mascot in Margate. He worked various jobs at Dreamland in the 50’s through to the early 90’s. He used to share rooms with Marty Feldman and he was an extra in one or two sketches in the surreal pre-Python Marty Feldman Show.
Maurice is 85 and still going strong. This portrait is in a show called ‘Here’s Looking at You’ in the Front Room at the Beaney House of Knowledge in Canterbury from Saturday 14th of October till Sunday 19th of November 2017.  Acrylic on board 13″ x 15″ 2015.

I’m not sure who this man is. Over the years I’ve saved cuttings from magazines and newspapers, a habit from my illustrator years. As a result I have boxes of source material covering landscapes, portraits, various imagery. Oils on smooth board 9″ x 12″ 1998.
